The most common procedures performed by our physicians include Upper Endoscopy (EGD) and Colonoscopy, which utilize video endoscopic devices. In general, endoscopy refers to the use of an endoscope, a thin, flexible tube with a tiny video camera at its end which transmits its images to a video screen, allowing the gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Liver

The liver regulates the chemical levels of the blood flowing from the stomach and intestines and produces the bile necessary to digest fats.

Common Symptoms:

jaundice (yellowish skin and eyes), abdominal pain and swelling, dark urine color, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, chronic fatigue, history of hepatitis

Gallbladder

The gallbladder stores and concentrates bile produced by the liver so the body can digest fat and absorb fat-soluble vitamins and nutrients.

Pancreas

Esophagus

The esophagus is a muscular tube connecting the throat with the stomach.

Common Symptoms:
